Designing urban green spaces means creating a landscape that blends functionality, aesthetics, and vitality. Integrating plants among buildings and sidewalks requires careful thought and passion. In this project, we focused on achieving an organic connection between architecture and nature.
To avoid the usual monotony of urban green spaces—where a uniform lawn dominates—we chose to bring diversity and texture through a carefully curated selection of perennials and trees, offering both color and visual interest. Vegetation is arranged in clearly defined areas, distributed throughout the small square in front of the complex. To separate them from the paving, we used corten steel strips—an aesthetic, distinctive, and practical solution.
The multi-level concept prevents accidental access to the green areas, protects the plants, and keeps the space clean. This separation creates clear circulation paths and restful areas without obstructing access or visibility. At the same time, it reduces maintenance costs and preserves the overall tidy look of the site.
Each green “island” has its own personality, shaped by combinations of forms, heights, and color palettes. Perennials ensure greenery and flowers return year after year, while trees provide shade and structure. The mix of textures—from the fine leaves of ornamental grasses to the dense foliage of trees—creates a pleasant visual rhythm that reveals itself gradually.
